Twitter, a social networking service with 330 million users worldwide, has finally started testing an “edit button.
Twitter is a social networking service that has gained popularity due to its ability to easily post short messages called tweets, but once posted, users have been asking for an “edit button” for years because they cannot correct typographical errors unless they delete or repost the message.
The SNS “Twitter” has finally started testing the “edit button.
And now, with the fullness of time, the testing of the edit button has begun, and the details have been revealed.
On Thursday, September 1, Twitter updated its official blog, in which it asks, “So what does the ‘edit tweet’ feature mean? Good question. ‘Edit Tweet’ is a feature that allows you to make changes to a tweet after it has been published. You can fix typos, add tags you forgot to add, and do many other things in a limited and short amount of time,” he said, introducing the function.
He added, “In this test, you will be able to edit your tweet several times during the 30 minutes after it is tweeted. Edited tweets will display an icon, timestamp, and label to let other users know that the original tweet has been changed. You can also tap on the label to see the history of edited tweets,” he explains in detail about the feature.
The company said that this “edit button,” like the other new features, will be intentionally tested with a small group of users and feedback will be incorporated to highlight and solve problems. How this feature will be misused will also be analyzed.
The blog post added, “At the end of this month, we plan to extend the use of the ‘edit button’ to Twitter Blue (paid members). As a benefit of being a member, you will be the first to use the new feature and participate in the test. We’ll be testing it in one country first, and then rolling it out to other countries as we analyze it,” it said of the implementation process, adding, “We’ll also be watching closely to see how this feature affects the way people read, write, and incorporate tweets. We will also closely monitor how this feature affects the way people read, write, and incorporate tweets,” it added.
