On September 7, 2022 local time, Billie Eilish was announced as the newest campaign designer for Gucci eyewear.

In three posts on Gucci’s official social networking sites, Billie shows off her modeling talents as she takes fans on a “dreamy journey through the Hollywood Hills inspired by black and white films” while wearing pink cat-eye frames and bold caravan sunglasses. The caption of the campaign video reads, “Conceived by Alessandro Michele and shot by photographer Hurley Weir under the art direction of Lina Kutsovskaya, the suspenseful scenes showcase a new retro style that reflects the mood of the film, culminating in a self-examination. The climax of the film is spelled out as “the climax of a re-examination,” and Billie is forced to confront herself. From the driver’s seat of a vintage car parked at the top of a hill, Billie says, “I love you,” and the video ends with another Billie replying, “I love you,” in the dim light.
It was announced last month that Billie and her mother Maggie Baird will be honored at the [Environmental Media Association Awards] for their dedication to sustainability, including their world tour [Happier Than Ever] and their environmental work with Maggie’s charity, Support + Feed.
Also this July, Billie surprised many fans by suddenly releasing his latest EP, Guitar Songs, which includes the songs “TV” and “The 30th.
