The diaries of actor Alan Rickman, best known for his role as Severus Snape in the “Harry Potter” film series, have been published and have become a hot topic.

Among them, the part in which Alan reflects on his role as Severus Snape in the “Harry Potter” film series has attracted much attention.

In his diary, Alan reveals that he wanted to leave the series after the second film, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” in 2002.

In a diary entry dated December 4, 2002, Alan wrote, “I have been talking with (agent) Paul Lyon-Maris about leaving ‘Harry Potter,’ and he thinks it will happen,” “But here we are again in a project conflict. He reiterates that he doesn’t want another ‘Harry Potter. They are not going to listen to it,” he said, revealing that discussions had been held about the demotion.

In another diary entry, it is revealed that Alan wanted to leave after the fourth film, but was persuaded to stay on. Alan was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2005, and it is known that when the fourth film, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” was released, it was after his diagnosis.

Alan added, “I finally said yes to the fifth “Harry Potter” film. The feeling is neither up nor down. ‘See it through. It’s your story.’ The insistence won out,” he said, revealing how he made up his mind.

In another excerpt, he said, “As soon as you put on that [Snape’s] ring and costume, you know something is going to happen. Being chatty, smiling, and open becomes alien. This character narrows and constricts me. Not a good quality to have on a film set. I have never had a problem communicating with the crew. Fortunately, Dan [Radcliffe] handles the role with ease and charm. And he is young,” he said, referring to his own role and Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter.

In another sentence, Alan writes, “I finished reading the final Harry Potter book. Snape dies heroically, Potter describes Snape to his children as one of the bravest men they have ever known, and names his son Albus Severus,” he also wrote in his diary about the end of the story.
