Katy Perry and Kesha are under fire.

Twitter users are criticizing Katy’s 2013 song “Dark Horse” and Kesha’s 2010 song “Cannibal” for referencing Jeffrey Dahmer as “unbelievable” after the delivery of this drama.

Kesha sings in the song, “I’ll imitate Jeffrey Dahmer,” and in Katy’s song “Dark Horse,” the featured Juicy J sings, “She’ll eat your heart out like Jeffrey Dahmer.

DAHMER: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” premiered on September 21 and stars Evan Peters; the recreation of Jeffrey Dahmer’s horrific crimes has been the subject of growing criticism in some quarters, and now Katie and Kesha, and the backlash must have been widespread.

On Twitter, one tweeter wrote, “Why won’t anyone admit that Katy Perry’s hit song contains such vile and horrific lyrics, Jeffrey is a notorious serial killer and Katy has romanticized his criminal and inhumane acts. It really makes me sick to my stomach. She needs to apologize”; “I still get angry when I hear the line “She eats your heart out like Jeffrey Dahmer” from Dark Horse”; “Very disrespectful to the victims’ families. I hope you remember them while watching Netflix”.
