Russia’s Defeat Inevitable

In statements released by the Directorate-General of Intelligence, he also asserted that Russia’s defeat is inevitable and unstoppable, and will lead to its destruction. The key victory that Ukraine says it will seize “will be known shortly,” he said.

He also said that he hoped this victory would include the Russian-occupied southern Ukrainian city of Herson. Ukrainian forces have had significant losses in that city and others in recent weeks.

The DG also divined that “the war will be over by the end of next spring and all will be over by next summer.”

He also expressed Ukraine’s intention to regain its borders as of 1991. 2014 He said this would mean the retaking of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula, which Russia unilaterally annexed in 2006, and the eastern provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk, which were occupied by pro-Russian forces.

He also expressed the view that Russia would not deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine. He noted that theoretically they could use them, but that doing so would only speed the path to the collapse of the Russian Federation. He also explained that “they are well aware of this and are not as stupid as we would like them to be.”

He stressed that “the leaders of the Russian presidency are united on the main goal of the war in Ukraine, and that is not to suffer defeat.” He explained that there are “doves” and “hawks,” but that they both recognize that the situation is very bad, and that they just have slightly different opinions about how to get out of the situation.

He continued, “Some clearly understand that we should stop the war and seek some kind of peaceful solution,” and “some have decided that if we do not continue [the invasion] or if we are defeated, Russia will cease to exist.

He analyzed the current decisions within the Russian presidency, saying, “It is no longer a question of victory, but of not being defeated. He also concluded that if Ukraine wins, “a very serious political process will begin, combined with the current changes in the organization of the Russian Federation.”
