Earlier this year, Elon Musk announced his intention to acquire Twitter for more than $40 billion.

However, many felt that this figure of acquiring the company for over $40 billion was an overestimation for the company. In the end, however, Elon Musk pulled out of the deal, which resulted in a lawsuit from Twitter. After a brief legal dispute, Elon Musk re-entered the deal and moved to take control of Twitter.

In the midst of all this, a new report from CNN claims that Elon Musk has fired key executives. They include CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and policy director Vijaya Gadde, who was reportedly responsible for major moderation changes, including the suspension of President Donald Trump’s account.

So far, it is not yet known what Elon Musk will do to the platform. He has already made general promises to make the platform more profitable, with more advertising, a more relaxed moderation system, etc. It is unclear if Elon Musk will reinstate his banned account, although some fear this could lead to a return to Twitter by a controversial figure such as the aforementioned president. Either way, Twitter is likely to undergo significant changes in the coming months.
