Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that the film is currently in production.

Tom Holland debuted as Spider-Man in 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War” and will star in the first installment of the new “Spider-Man” series, “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” beginning in 2017, followed by 2019’s “Spider- Man: Far From Home” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in 2021. He also appeared as Spider-Man in “Avengers: Infinity War” in 2018 and “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019, for a total of six films.

And now, Tom has officially confirmed that he will continue as Spider-Man, with a fourth solo film currently in production.

Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige gave an interview to “Entertainment Weekly” in which he mentioned Tom’s Spider-Man role.

The magazine said, “You mentioned Peter Parker, who is played by Tom Holland. Spider-Man: No Way Home” was a huge hit, and I know that Marvel Studios has a deal with Sony Pictures regarding that character. Do you have any updates on when we might see Peter Parker again?” When asked, Kevin replied, “All I can tell you is that we have a story to tell. We have a big idea for it and our writers are putting pen to paper right now,” and revealed that production has already begun.

Previously, producer Amy Pascal confessed that she is considering making a new trilogy with Tom in the lead role. She had stated that the series would continue, saying, “This (Spider-Man: No Way Home) will not be our last MCU film,” but now Kevin Feigy’s comments have made it clear that a fourth installment is official.

The latest film, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” has grossed $1.92 billion (approximately 255.3 billion yen) worldwide, making it the seventh highest-grossing film of all time at the box office.
