The once-every-four-years soccer festival opened with a spectacular ceremony.
On November 20, the opening ceremony for the Qatar World Cup soccer tournament was held, and Jung Kook of the world-famous Korean group BTS made an appearance. He sang “Dreamers,” the official soundtrack of the World Cup, with Qatar’s popular singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.

The Argentinean media outlet Infobae also commented, “The opening ceremony was more impressive than in the past,” and excitedly reported, “Sixty thousand people were enthralled by Jung Kook’s singing and Morgan Freeman’s performance.
The Peninsula Qatar, a local Qatari newspaper, also wrote an emotional message on the opening of the big tournament in their country.
Qatar has always said it will host the best World Cup ever. Qatar has prepared well for this. The opening of the tournament was historic. Especially the performances by Jung Kook and Qatari singer Al Kubaisi were a wonderful addition to the ceremony.”
