After Morgan’s speech, Jung Kook of BTS appeared from the center of the stage.

Qatar is the host country for this year’s World Cup. Morgan Freeman narrated the opening titled “The Calling” and said, “We are all gathered here as one big tribe.

Morgan also said, “What unites us is greater than what divides us. We are one big tribe, and the Earth is our tent. Together we call on everyone to unite. Soccer brings people and nations together. It is a common denominator of hope and respect. Soccer expands the world and unites nations in their love of this precious game. What unites nations unites communities. We all have a history of soccer and so does Qatar,” he said in his speech.

After Morgan’s speech, Jung Kook of BTS appeared from the center of the stage. He and Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi performed “Dreamers,” the official soundtrack to the World Cup, to the delight of the audience.

On the 19th, the day before the event, Jung Kook visited the Korean national team’s training ground to encourage the national team. He took a group photo in the locker room with Asian representative ace FW Son Heung-min and others, and the official Instagram of the Korean Football Association (KFA) showed the photo.
