Guillermo del Toro, who saw “Avatar: The Way of Water” ahead of the rest of the cast, immediately revealed his impressions of the film.
Guillermo del Toro is thrilled with “Avatar 2
Director Guillermo del Toro is known for his unique style of films such as “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “Crimson Peak,” and won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director for “The Shape of Water. He was so impressed by the excellence of one of his films that he unintentionally tweeted his impressions of it.
The director recently tweeted this on Twitter.
A staggering achievement- AVATAR TWOW is chokefull of majestic Vistas and emotions at an epic, epic scale. A master at thepeak of his powers… https://t.co/tG6I16JlhM

Stupefying achievement. Avatar 2″ is filled with magnificent scenery and emotion on an amazing, truly amazing scale. The maestro is at the height of his talent…”
The director expressed his excitement with “Avatar: The Way of Water,” directed by James Cameron, the sequel to “Avatar,” which was released in 2009 and became the number one worldwide box office hit of all time, and will be released in theaters on December 16, 2023, 13 years after the first film. It will be released in theaters on December 16, 2023, 13 years after the previous film.
Reviews about the film have not yet been released in the United States. We don’t know if director del Toro couldn’t resist or if he had a special OK, but it doesn’t seem to be an issue, as producer Jon Landau retweeted the director’s tweet.
Director Cameron is known as one of the industry’s best hit makers, having worked on the “Terminator” series, “Alien 2” and “Titanic,” but for 13 years after “Avatar,” he has focused on the production of “Avatar: Way of Water”. In addition, there are plans for a fifth film in the series. The pressure on the director’s shoulders is therefore enormous: in 2021, when asked on a talk show about how the second and third films would surpass the original, he said, “I cry. I sit at my desk and cry all day. Because there is no way. There’s just so much pressure,” he said candidly.
That is why Cameron must be happy with the recognition from director del Toro. Fans who have seen the trailer at movie theaters have already commented that they were overwhelmed by the trailer alone. With its magnificent visuals, “Avatar: Way of Water” is definitely worth seeing in theaters.
