International critics who saw “Avatar: The Way of Water” ahead of others praised the film. Director James Cameron is still awesome…!
This is the power of director James Cameron, “Avatar: The Way of Water” has received rave reviews.
Director James Cameron is known as one of Hollywood’s greatest hit makers, having created the “Terminator” series, “Alien 2” and “Titanic”. For the past 13 years, however, he has concentrated on only one film: Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar: The Way of Water” was released in 2009.
Avatar” was released in 2009 and became the highest-grossing film of all time.
Some moviegoers may not have high expectations for “Avatar: The Way of Water,” given that it has been 13 years since the first film and that the visual beauty of the original can now be seen in other films thanks to the advances made over the past 13 years. The director himself, when asked about how to surpass the first film, said, “I cry. I sit at my desk and cry all day. Because there is no way. There’s just too much pressure.” It seems that he was aware of the harsh stares from movie lovers.
However, it seems that director Cameron is as good as it gets. Critics who saw “Avatar: The Way of Water” ahead of the rest of the world have been praising it. 2022 saw the release of various blockbusters such as “Top Gun Maverick” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” but “Avatar: The Way of Water” has been called “the best film of the year. It is amazing that a film can come out in December and earn that reputation.
Avatar: The Way of Water” will be released simultaneously in the U.S. and Japan on December 16. We have compiled a list of our opinions on the film, which should be seen in theaters.

Avatar: The Way of Water” is very good. James Cameron has raised the bar in effects technology, but the film’s visuals blow me away. One stunning image after another. But what struck me most was that the technical achievements were always used to build character and world-building.”
#AvatarTheWayOfWater is pretty incredible. I had faith James Cameron would raise the bar w/ the effects but these visuals are mind-blowing. One stunning frame after the next. But the thing I dug most is how the technical feats always feel in service of character & world-building. pic.twitter.com/MXeN3z8BnP

‘I saw “Avatar: The Way of Water.” If you think you’ve already seen ‘Avatar,’ you might want to reconsider. If there is a repeat of the first film, the only thing you can say is “I’ve never experienced anything like this. By a wide margin; the 3D water world and creatures were truly unreal and thoroughly moving. There’s also a big homage to Titanic.”
I saw you #AvatarTheWayOfWater – if you think you’ve seen #Avatar think again. Only repeat from the OG is that ‘never experienced anything like it’ awe. Better than 1st? Easily. The 3D water world & creatures are so surreal it is downright moving. There’s a major Titanic homage. pic.twitter.com/EInKRDeumD

‘Avatar: The Way of Water. I liked it, but didn’t love it. The good news is that 3D is good again (yay!) and the action is great (especially the last one). ) and the action is great (especially the last one). But at many points in the story line I felt like I had to stop and start, and the high frame rate was hit or miss.”

“‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. Never bet against James Cameron losing. I’m trying not to exaggerate, but I’ve never seen anything like it before, technically or visually. It is overwhelming. Maybe too overwhelming. At times I missed the storyline. Because I was looking at Pandora’s fish.”
AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER: Yeah never bet against James Cameron. Trying to spare hyperbole, but I’ve never seen anything like this from a technical, visual standpoint. It’s overwhelming. Maybe too overwhelming. Sometimes I’d miss plot points because I’m staring at a Pandora fish

I’m sure James Cameron would have shot Avatar: The Way of Water on another planet. The film is truly stunning and immersive. It’s long, but I was able to focus perfectly on the entire film, and like ‘Avatar’ 13 years ago, this is an achievement in cinema history and a must-see!”
I’m almost convinced James Cameron shot #AvatarTheWayOfWater on another planet. The film is absolutely stunning and immersive. It’s long but I was completely engaged all the way through. Much like #avatar 13 years ago, this film is a cinematic achievement and a must see event! pic.twitter.com/2WFlJzmbeI

‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. (Laughs). Imagine James Cameron, or Sigourney Weaver as a teenage alien, or the Papyrus subtitled giant whales who became such buffoons that they bet that they would fail. Long overdue (this film) is better than the first and one of the best theatrical experiences in years. Streaming services are dying a wild death.”
Avatar The Way of Water: lol imagine being dumb enough to bet against James Cameron. or teen alien Sigourney Weaver. or giant whales subtitled in papyrus.
light years better than the first & easily one of the best theatrical experiences in ages. streaming found dead in a ditch.

‘Never bet against James Cameron losing. His ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ surpasses the original in every way. Stunning visuals, but more than that, an emotional connection to the characters and the story. In the final hour, Cameron pulled out all the stops and showed the big-budget producers what this film is all about.”
Never bet against @JimCameron. His #AvatarTheWayOfWater surpasses the original on every level. Incredible visuals, but a much more emotional connection to the characters and story. The final hour is Cameron flexing every muscle, reminding blockbuster filmmakers how it’s done. pic.twitter.com/C7lpBs6y5U

Brandon Davis, visual producer
“‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is a visual spectacle that never ends. It’s better and deeper than the first film emotionally, but the characters could have been improved a bit more. The film is long, of course, but it is built on phenomenal visuals and technology and is best seen in 3D.”
Avatar: The Way of Water is a never-ending visual spectacle.
It’s a better, more complex story than the first with solid emotion but the characters could grow a bit more. It’s definitely long, running on incredible visuals & techniques which are 3D’s best.#AvatarTheWayOfWater pic.twitter.com/ezySHunXOe
