Nick Carter (42), a member of the popular boy group “Backstreet Boys,” has been sued over sexual assault.

The incident occurred after a Backstreet Boys concert.

According to Rolling Stone magazine, the lawsuit against Nick Carter was filed by Shannon “Shay” Ruth, 39, an old fan of Nick’s. She explained that the incident occurred after a Backstreet Boys concert in Washington, D.C., when she was 17 at the time. Nick was 21 years old at the time.

After the Backstreet Boys concert, she was invited by Nick to join him on his tour bus. She alleges that she was then given what she believed to be alcohol and forced to engage in sexual activity.

In the lawsuit, she states that she begged Nick to stop, but he told her, “This will be our special secret.

Ruth also has autism and cerebral palsy. She said at the press conference, “Even though I live with autism and cerebral palsy, I don’t think anything has affected me more than what Nick Carter did to me,” and that Nick became increasingly “unpleasant and threatening” at the time.

Ruth also stated that she contracted HPV (human papillomavirus, the virus that causes cervical cancer) after Nick forced her to have sexual intercourse with him.

In response to this claim, a source close to Nick told TMZ magazine, “The accusations are completely false and Nick is focused on his family right now. He is mourning the death of his brother (Aaron Carter).”

Nick has been accused of sexual assault in the past. Singer Melissa Schuman accused him of raping her in 2017, which Nick also denied.
