Gerard Pique, former Spanish national football team player and former partner of singer Shakira, has allegedly threatened a journalist.
The threat was made by journalist Jordi Martin.
He had visited Gerard Pique’s parents’ home to interview Pique and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, about Shakira’s new music and was refused, and when he tried to leave, he was almost run over by a car driven by Pique.
Jordi Martin told a local newspaper: ‘Today I was very uncomfortable regarding Gerard Pique and Clara Chia. I was almost run over. Piqué was accelerating his car as if he didn’t hesitate to run me over,” and continued: ‘A little later, when we passed each other on the road, they mocked me, insulted me and even gave me humiliating hand signs.

Martin added that Piquet then called him and said, “He had my phone number and went to the trouble of calling me. He told me, ‘You’re going to lose your life’.” He claims to have received death threats from Pique.
Shakira has continued to release songs for him and his new girlfriend after their break-up following the discovery of Pique’s infidelity.
