Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” the sequel to the film “Mission: Impossible” starring Tom Cruise, will release footage exclusively in IMAX.
Sequel to “Mission: Impossible” finally gets underway
The “Mission: Impossible” film series, known as one of actor Tom Cruise’s best-known works, was supposed to be released two years in a row, with the seventh film in 2021 and the eighth film in 2022, but the filming was delayed due to a new coronavirus infection, and the seventh in the series, “Mission: Impossible/ Dead Reckoning Part One,” the seventh film in the series, will be released in 2023.
The film features the main character Ethan Hunt, a member of the IMF spy organization played by Tom Cruise, and familiar members such as Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, and Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, who has appeared in the series since the first film Henry Czerny makes a comeback as Eugene Kittredge. And from this film, Hayley Atwell from “Avengers: Endgame,” Pom Klementieff from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” series, and Esai Morales from “Bad Boys” join the cast.
As soon as the trailer for “Mission Impossible” was released in May of this year, the excitement of the story that culminates everything in the finale of “Mission: Impossible,” especially the scene where Ethan Hunt on his motorcycle goes full speed into a straight line toward a cliff and then slows down, was a big hit. Without slowing down, he makes a huge jump and plunges headlong into the cliff.
The breathtaking 4-minute special film, which is filled with the making of the scene, will be screened at 39 IMAX theaters nationwide before the screening of “Avatar: Way of Water” from December 16 (Fri.).
We hope that you will come to IMAX theaters to enjoy the impact that the latest “Mission: Impossible” film will have on the world ahead of the release of next year’s film and at the end of the year 2022.
