Actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role as “Hawkeye” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was in an accident while plowing snow on Sunday, January 1, local time, reports The Hollywood Reporter and others.
He is with his family and receiving excellent care.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a representative for Jeremy Renner said on Sunday, “We have confirmed that Jeremy experienced a weather-related accident today while plowing snow and is in stable condition, though injured and in critical condition afterward. He is with his family and receiving excellent care,” he continued.
On the morning of the accident, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office near Reno, Nevada, was called to the Renner residence near Mount Rose Highway. Upon arrival, a spokesperson for the office stated that arrangements were made for Jeremy to be “medically transported by CareFlight to a local area hospital.” He also said that Jeremy was the only party involved in the incident and that the Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Speaking of Jeremy, he has played the role of Clint Barton/Hawkeye in multiple Marvel movies and Disney Plus series. When “Hawkeye” was first delivered, he said, “It’s been a really exciting journey so far. The weight of it on my career has been immense, but when I look back on my experience playing Hawkeye with the MCU so far, I realize it’s invaluable. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
In between his work in the Marvel Universe, Hawkeye has also appeared in other franchises, including working with Tom Cruise on the “Mission: Impossible” series.
