Noah Schnapp Comes Out as Gay

Actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in Netflx’s hit drama “Stranger Things,” said in a video posted on TikTok, “After 18 years of being in the closet and scared, when I finally told my family and friends that I was gay, their response was, ‘I know. I finally told my family and friends that I was gay, and their response was, ‘I knew.

Noah wrote in the caption of the video, “I guess I’m more like Will than I thought,” but it was revealed after the distribution of season 4 that Will, who Noah plays in “Stranger Things,” is gay.

Regarding Will’s sexual orientation, Noah previously wrote, “It is 100% clear now that he is gay and that he loves Mike. This season (Season 4) has made it clear that Will has feelings for Mike. (The producers) have intentionally hinted at it in past seasons. Since Season 1, we’ve been hinting and slowly, slowly nurturing that storyline. In Season 4, I played a character who loved his best friend but was conflicted about whether or not he would be accepted, that he was wrong, that he didn’t belong. Will always felt that way. All of his friends have girlfriends and fit in with their respective groups. But Will doesn’t fit in anywhere. I think that’s why so many people come up to me and say they love Will and they sympathize with him,” he said in an interview with Variety.
