The book has set a Guinness record as the fastest-selling nonfiction book in history.

On Tuesday, January 10, Prince Harry released his memoir “Spare,” a collection of revelations about the royal family, including a physical fight with his brother Prince William and the death of his mother, former Princess Diana. The book sold 1.43 million copies on its first day of release in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, setting a Guinness record as the fastest-selling nonfiction book in history.

The title of the book, “Spare,” means “spare” or “extra,” a word that symbolizes the sad position of Prince Harry, the second child born to King Charles and Princess Diana.

In a recent interview with The Mirror, Paul Burrell, a former butler to the British royal family, claimed that the feud between Prince Harry and Prince William may have started over “sausages. During a meal one day, Prince Harry noticed that his brother William was offered one more sausage than him, and asked, “Why does he get three and I only get two?” he asked.

Their nanny then said, “William needs to fill his stomach more than you do. He will be king one day. Prince Harry seemed depressed by the nanny’s response, but did not say anything back.

Mr. Burrell believes that these events created the initial tension between the brothers, and he attributes Prince Harry’s recent behavior to the fact that he was raised in an environment where he was always “second best.

Looking back, I think there were glimpses of tension [between the two] from then on.

In his book “Spare,” Prince Harry wrote, “I was born to be there in case something happened to William. I was born to provide backup, distraction, diversion, and if necessary, spare parts. Maybe a spare kidney. A blood transfusion or a bone marrow. This has all been made clear since my life began and has been regularly reinforced as fact since then,” he wrote. Perhaps Prince Harry had a strong sense of jealousy and inferiority complex toward Prince William from an early age.
