Julian Sands, 65, a popular British actor who appeared in the movie “A Room with a View” (1986) and the drama “24 TWENTY FOUR” Season 5 (2006), has been missing since around 7:30 pm local time on January 13.
The Sheriff’s Department of San Bernardino County, California, U.S.A., made the announcement.
According to the announcement, he was hiking in Baldy Bowl near the Gabriel Mountains when he disappeared. Ground forces immediately began a search, but temporarily withdrew on the evening of the 14th (local time) due to avalanche danger and other concerns. The ground search could not be resumed due to weather conditions, and a search is currently being conducted by helicopter and drone.
Film producer Cassian Elwiz, who worked with Julian on the film “Oxford Blues” (1984), said, “My friend Julian Sands has been missing since Friday. It is very painful. He is a family friend known for his adventurous spirit. Praying for his safety,” he said on Twitter, expressing his feelings.
