Burberry, a long-established British brand, will be getting a brand new look with a new designer.
Daniel Lee, formerly of Bottega Veneta, is the new designer.
Riccardo Tisci, who has been Burberry’s creative director since 2018, has been showing new facets of the brand during his tenure, incorporating the essence of the street into Burberry’s traditional style, but has announced that he will step down as the brand’s designer in 2022.
This came just as a different Burberry was attracting attention, as Riccardo had befriended celebrities, and the number of celebrities wearing Burberry has skyrocketed.
The new head of Burberry to replace Ricardo is Daniel Lee. Daniel is the designer who became the creative director of Bottega Veneta in 2018 and led the brand’s revival.
After showing his prowess in pushing Bottega Veneta to the forefront of the trend, it was a hot question as to which brand Daniel would go to next, but he has been appointed as a designer for Burberry.
When Daniel became the designer, Burberry deleted all of his social networking posts. Then, a series of new campaign photos of the new Burberry were uploaded to Instagram. The new campaign featured Lennon Gallagher, the child of former Oasis member Liam Gallagher, as well as John Glacier, Shy Girl, Skepta, Liberty Moss, and other British celebrities, and was shot in front of famous London landmarks.

The new logo is a tribute to the brand’s archives.
Daniel is the new designer of the brand, and the brand logo has been redesigned. During Ricardo’s time, the logo combined the initials “TB” of the founder Thomas Burberry with British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville, but now Burberry’s iconic riding knight design will return.
The riding knight design was first created in 1901, and although it has been updated several times since then, the last time the design was updated was in 1999, when the company changed from Burberry’s to Burberry.
The new logo returns to the original design of the logo, with the knight holding a flag with the word “Prorsum,” which means “forward” in Latin, back to the original design when the logo was first created.

Daniel’s first show at Burberry will be held on February 20 during London Fashion Week. Daniel, who made his name as the right-hand man of former Celine’s Phoebe Philo, is a must-see for his debut collection for Burberry.
