Popular actress Jenna Ortega was originally scheduled to make a comeback in season 4 of the popular Netflix drama “YOU,” but it turned out that it never happened.

Speaking of Jenna Ortega, she played Ellie Alves in season 2 of the drama “YOU,” starring Penn Badgley.

Ellie is one of the few surviving friends of Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley) and is mentioned in season 3 as someone Joe still keeps in touch with and sends money to.

And now, Season 4, the latest season of “YOU,” has finally started streaming, and it seems that the producers actually wanted to bring Jenna back for Season 4.

In an interview with “Indie Wire,” the drama’s showrunner, Sera Gamble, said that they were hoping to bring back Ellie, the character played by Jenna, for a comeback in season 4, when they heard that Jenna was in another drama.

Speaking of Jenna, she starred in the drama “Wednesday,” which was a big hit on Netflix last year, and was busy filming that one, so she was unable to make the schedule.

Sera Gamble said, “It was a real pleasure to meet Jenna this year. I have an idea for Ellie to make another appearance if her schedule permits,” and revealed that she has not given up hope yet.

Jenna herself revealed in an interview with Teen Vogue magazine in 2019 that she would love to reprise her role as Ellie, saying, “It would be wonderful to see Ellie come back and take control of her life. I want her to be an even bigger badass. I don’t want Ellie to come back and be extremely weak or sad. Remember, Joe is still considered attractive, but he is evil, does horrible things, and gets away with it because of his gender, race, and social status. Ellie has so much potential and talent, and we must not let it go to waste because of him,” she said strongly.

Jenna has been very busy, appearing in the movie “Scream,” which is currently in theaters, and has three more movies and “Wednesday” Season 2 filming coming up. Will she make a comeback to “YOU” again?
