On May 6 this year, King Charles of the United Kingdom will officially ascend to the throne as king. The biggest question for royal family fans is whether or not Prince Harry and Princess Meghan, who live in the United States, will attend the coronation.
Last December, Prince Harry and Princess Meghan released the documentary “Harry and Meghan” on Netflix, which traces their lives together.
In addition, Prince Harry released his memoir, “Spare,” in January of this year, both of which criticized the royal family and his father King Charles and brother Prince William.
Nevertheless, King Charles reportedly plans to invite Prince Harry to the coronation, as he does not want to “leave a rut.
On the other hand, Prince Harry and his wife have not decided whether they will attend or not.
A source recently told the Mirror, “Prince Harry is very clear and his position has not wavered. If he feels that the atmosphere will be stuffy, as it was at Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee and funeral, he will not come.
The Platinum Jubilee, a ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, was held last June. Prince Harry was invited to this ceremony with his family, but he received “cold treatment,” including being placed in a seat away from the other royals at the service.
As for Prince Harry, he did not like what happened at that time.
The source further asserted, “Prince Harry seems to want to reconcile with his family, and that is something that should be discussed between them, but nothing has changed at this point. The source added, “If he does attend the coronation, it will be with his family.” The source said that it is unlikely that Prince Harry will attend alone, and that Queen Meghan and their two children will also be present.
At this point, there is no indication that King Charles or Prince William have spoken directly with Prince Harry.
