Avril Lavigne (38), the popular singer who reportedly broke up with her fiancé Mod Sun (35), was caught enjoying dinner with a popular rapper.
Avril and Mod Sun began spending time together after the song “Flames” was released in January 2021.
They made their red carpet debut at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) in September 2021. Then last April, Avril posted a photo on social media of Mod Sun proposing to her in Paris. They announced that they had gotten engaged after about a year of dating.
Although the two were thought to be building a successful relationship, Avril’s representative admitted on February 21 (local time) that she and Mod Sun had broken up, according to Page Six in the U.S. The site also reported that the two have been together for a while now. The site also reports that the two have been having problems for the past few months, and have broken up and gotten back together several times.
The sudden breakup report came as a surprise to fans, but Avril was actually having dinner with popular rapper Tyga (33) and some other people at Japanese restaurant NOBU in Los Angeles two days before the breakup report came out.
According to TMZ, the two seemed to hit it off and hugged goodbye in the parking lot before leaving in the same car.
A source revealed to the site that Avril and Tyga have been spending a lot of time together recently. However, it is not clear if their relationship is romantic or not.
Tyga is dating Kylie Jenner (25), the youngest member of America’s most famous celebrity family, the Kardashians. While he and Kylie, who was a teenager at the time, repeatedly broke up and got back together, they were together from 2014 to 2017 and attracted a lot of attention.
