Prince Harry to Host Talk Event with “Trauma Expert”!

‘We’ll talk about the importance of healing’ Prince Harry plans to answer questions from attendees

Prince Harry will participate in an event where he will talk with a trauma expert.

The online event, which will take place on Saturday, March 4, will feature Prince Harry discussing his experiences with Gabor Maté, a trauma expert, physician, and author. There will also be an opportunity for participants to submit questions for Prince Harry.

Gabor Maté said of the event, “We will be talking about the impact of mental loss and the importance of personal healing,” adding, “In his memoir, SPARE/SPARE, Prince Harry is very open about his mental health challenges. This is something I have also talked about in my own book. I hope that by having a public conversation, I can encourage openness about mental health and remove prejudice against what we call mental illness,” he added.

Tickets for the event are available for $39.99 (about $4,635) from Penguin Random House, publisher of SPARE.

In addition to attending the event, this price includes a hardcover copy of Prince Harry’s memoir, “SPARE,” and the right to submit a question they would like Prince Harry to hear from the yerba mate during the one-hour event.

Participants will also be able to purchase Maté’s latest book, The Myth of Normal: Trauma, Illness, and Healing in a Toxic Culture.

Known as a trauma expert, Maté is also a leading advocate for new treatments for addiction to alcohol and drugs. Mate is currently in the process of treating mental illness using the Amazonian plant ayahuasca.

On the other hand, this treatment is illegal in Canada as an unorthodox therapy, and in 2011, Mate was reportedly threatened by the government with arrest if he did not stop using this drug on his patients.
