The show responded to rumours that they will appear on the final episode of a talk show associated with them, but what is the truth?
Popular boy group One Direction have been rumoured to be reuniting for one night only, causing a stir among their fans.
It all started when gossip account DeuxMoi spread rumours that One Direction , who are currently on hiatus, would reunite for one night only and appear as guests on the popular US CBS talk show ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’. This was the kick-off. On Thursday 13 April, the Daily Mail also reported on the rumours.
One Direction are known to be good friends with the show’s presenter, James Corden, and in the past they appeared as a group on the popular Carpool Karaoke segment. After the group went on hiatus, they continued to make guest appearances on the show as solo acts, and Harry Styles also once acted as a guest presenter on short notice on James’ behalf.

James Corden has hosted The Late Late Show since 2015, but will graduate after the 27 April episode.
While it is certainly possible that the members of One Direction could get together at the time of their good friend James’ graduation, the rumours were still too good to be true.
On 14 April, the official Twitter account of The Late Late Show responded to the rumours. The show wrote a screenshot of a Daily Mail article with a large ‘misinformation’ overwritten with the words ‘No one loves the Boys more than we do. But there is no truth to this story”, and dismissed rumours of a reunion.
Nobody loves the boys more than us … but this story just isn’t true.

One Direction will not appear on the show, but the 27 April episode will have a great two-hour finale.
