Actress and singer Selena Gomez has posted a selfie on Instagram with no make-up and a sleepy face, and fans are raving about it.
Selena Gomez took to Instagram on 11 April to show herself with no make-up and an explosion of sleepiness.
Selena is wearing a large black T-shirt and holding an iPad in her hand. Her friend Conor Franklin, next to her, is wearing black sweatpants and a T-shirt in a different colour to Selena’s. It’s a very relaxed photo.

However, it was Selena’s hair that caught fans’ attention. There was no sign that she had set her hair at all, and it had ‘exploded’ into a messy mess. It’s not so much her hair, it’s more like her sleeping habit is in full bloom.
Selena says: “What were we doing in our sleep to end up like this? I don’t think I ever moved… I love you, my best friend,” she added.

On that occasion, Selena posted two photos of herself without makeup and wrote ‘Violet Chemistry’ in the caption. ‘Violet Chemistry’ is a song from Miley Cyrus’ eighth album Endless Summer Vacation. When the picture was posted, fans speculated as to why Selena had mentioned Miley’s song.
A month earlier, in February, Selena also posted a make-up-free selfie. She showed off her semi-coloured tattoos and curly hair, and captioned it with the meaningful comment ‘Me’.
Again, many people praised Selena, including her friends Nicola Peltz and Conor Franklin. Nicola praised Selena’s beauty, calling her ‘the most beautiful thing ever’ and Conor said she was ‘a natural born beauty’.
Actress Aubrey Plaza left an emoji with a heart in her eyes as a comment. Selena’s make-up artist Han Vango and Selena’s mental health media outlet Wondermind also expressed their love for Selena with a red heart emoji.
