Popular Puerto Rican singer/rapper/actor Bad Bunny, 29, has apologised to One Direction member Harry Styles, 29, who is now a solo singer/actor.
The incident began at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly known as Coachella), a large-scale outdoor music festival in the USA, which took place over two weeks from Friday 14 April.
Bad Bunny was the main stage performer on the first day of the festival, and after performing his song ‘El Apagon’, he said on the stage’s giant vision, “Good night, good night. Benito (Bad Bunny’s real name) will be able to do ‘As It Was’ (Harry’s song), but Harry can’t do ‘El Apagon'”, an anonymous tweet was shown.
In response, the internet has been rife with speculation that this is because Harry lost the ‘Album of the Year’ award at this year’s ’65th Grammy Awards ceremony’ (*), or that it has something to do with model Kendall Jenner, who Harry has dated in the past and is currently dating Bad Bunny. Speculation was rife.
Bad Bunny was also nominated for Album of the Year, making it the first time in Grammy history that a Spanish-language album has been nominated in the same category.
According to JustJared, Bad Bunny’s representatives and the visual content company responsible for his set clarified shortly afterwards that they did not approve of Bad Bunny’s tweet dissing Harry, and also stated that they had no intention of criticising him.
Bad Bunny apologised to Harry on stage at the second week of Coachella, where, as in the first week, he showed an anonymous tweet with a photo of a man holding a Puerto Rican flag attached to a giant vision, but the text read, “Harry, I’m sorry. My team was wrong. We love you” was replaced by “We love you”.

Bad Bunny apologised to Harry in public. Hopefully this incident will not cause any discord between him and Harry…
