Actress Amber Heard has been spotted in the trailer for DC’s new film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, according to independent.co.uk and others.

CinemaCon, the cinema industry’s largest event, was held in Las Vegas from 24-27 April US time. At the event, Warner Bros gave an exclusive presentation to the audience and premiered the trailer for the film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, tells the story of Arthur Curry, Aquaman, a human-born princess of the undersea kingdom of Atlantis, and Atlantis’ battle to conquer humanity, with the first film to be released in 2019 and a sequel to be released this year.

CinemaCon reports that the new trailer also featured Amber Heard as Mera, who appeared in the first film. The media outlet ‘Deadline’ also reported on the trailer, saying that Amber Heard makes a cameo appearance, but in a fight scene.

Amber Heard made headlines last year when she was involved in a mud-slinging battle with her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp, in a defamation trial.

In her testimony at the defamation trial, Amber also mentioned Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. ‘There was a deleted scene where me and another character fight. Basically, I felt that a lot of my scenes were cut from the film”.

In response, Walter Hamada, head of DC Films, appeared in court. He stated that the size of Amber’s role had been determined early on in the script, and cited the lack of chemistry between Amber and lead actor Jason Momoa as the reason for reducing her time in the film.

Amber appeared briefly in the trailer. I wonder how much she will appear in the film… Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opens in the US on 20 December.
