The trailer and teaser poster have been released worldwide!
Dune depicts an epic space war on the planet Dune, where it is said that whoever controls the planet controls the entire universe. The novel was said to be impossible to make into a live-action film due to its epic scale.
However, when it was released in theatres in 2021 as the film Dune, it received worldwide acclaim for its flawless visual experience and became a smash hit, opening at number one in 34 countries and territories and grossing over $400 million worldwide. It also won a record six Academy Awards at the 94th Academy Awards, creating a worldwide buzz.
The trailer for Dune: Part Two, the sequel to one of the most eagerly awaited films of all time, has finally been released. The film depicts the fate of a young man whose life is threatened from all corners of the universe, as politics, intrigue and betrayal intersect on a harsh planet covered in desert and ruled by the giant sandworm Sandworm.
The teaser poster, released at the same time as the trailer, shows Paul and Chani inspiring the crowd and ready to take on the very final battle. The striking visuals foreshadow that the story of Paul, whose family has been destroyed, and Chani, a Fremen, will begin with this film.
What does the synopsis and trailer for Dune: Part Two say?
Paul (Timothée Chalamet) of the Atreides family moves to the harsh sandy planet of Dune at the behest of the Emperor, who rules a space empire. But this is a conspiracy between the Emperor and his arch-enemies, the Harkonnen family, who plot the destruction of the Atreides family. Paul’s father is killed and he and his mother narrowly escape the assassins, who rescue them with the help of the Fremen, a group of indigenous desert dwellers. There he meets Chani (Zendaya).
The trailer released begins with Paul and Chani in front of the stunning desert. The emperor’s daughter Irulan (Florence Pugh) says: “The planet Arrakis has countless secrets. The biggest secret is never revealed”, she mutters meaningfully. When his family is destroyed by the diabolical Harkonnen family, who rule the planet, Paul keeps his vengeance to himself.
Paul is swallowed by the giant sandworm Sandworm, but manages to ride the Sandworm like no one has ever done before.
Paul and Chani kiss each other. At last, they launch a counter-attack, and the final battle is revealed. And then, Fayed-Lausa (Austin Butler), the next Baron of the House of Harkonnen, appears. Paul’s eyes glow blue, the symbol of the People of the Sand, as he holds up his sword…
