Meadow Walker, 24, daughter of the late Paul Walker, has made a cameo appearance in Fast X, the latest film in the Wild Speed series.

Paul, known for his role as Brian O’Connor in the Wild Speed series, passed away in a car accident in 2013 at the age of 40. Meadow was only 15 years old at the time.

Meadow recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot on Instagram. With the caption, “Preview of my cameo in ‘Fast X'”, Meadow wrote a lengthy statement about how happy she was to be in the latest film.

‘I was one year old when the first ‘Wild Speed’ came out! I grew up watching my dad, Vin (Diesel), Jordana (Brewster), Michelle (Rodriguez), Chris (“Ludacris”) Bridges and others on the monitor.”

‘Thanks to my father, I was born into a ‘Wild Speed’ family. Now I can’t believe I get to play a part in it too. With all the people who watched me grow up.”

Meadow’s father, Paul, has appeared in the series since the first Wild Speed film in 2001. However, Fast & Furious 7, released in 2015, was his last film appearance. As the film was still in production when Paul died, the film was completed with Paul’s brothers Caleb and Cody Walker taking over the role of Brian O’Connor.

Meadow thanked Fast X director Louis Letellier for his kindness, patience and support, saying, “You’ve been kind, patient and supportive. (Since the beginning (of the series) you feel like part of the family. This is just the beginning, but I’m glad.

I also want to thank Brandon Bartel, who was my father’s best friend and is now my best friend. Without you, none of this would have been possible.”

Meadow added: “I am grateful to be able to honour my father’s legacy and share it with him. This should last forever,” and also mentioned his father Paul. She is proud to be able to appear in a film she has admired and watched by his side since she was a child, and most importantly, to be able to appear in one of her father Paul’s most famous films.

In November last year, nine years after his father Paul’s death, Meadow posted a photo of him and his father Paul. It is a cheery picture of Meadow and Paul bowling together.

The caption read: ‘Nine years without you. Love you so much, my angel”. She also expressed her love for her father on her Instagram story, saying, “I love you, Dad”.
