The Cannes International Film Festival, one of the world’s top three film festivals, is being held in Cannes, France, until 27 May, and many celebrities attend the festival every day.

May December is the story of a woman called Gracie who, at the age of 36, has an affair with Joe, a 13-year-old child, is later arrested, gives birth in prison and remarries Joe, and was very well received at the Cannes Film Festival.

Nathalie’s appearance in such a controversial film drew attention to the dress she wore on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. The dress, with its beautiful detailing on the skirt reminiscent of petals with intricate beading and embroidery, is by Dior.

However, it is not an ordinary Dior dress, but a precious reinterpretation of the Junon dress by Christian Dior, presented by the current designer Maria Grazia Chiuri for the autumn/winter 1949 collection.

The Junon dress is so iconic for Dior that it was exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2016, and has now been reinterpreted for the first time.

Like the Junon dress, this dress was also hand-applied with bijoux by artisans, giving the Junon dress its first reincarnation in over 70 years.
