Actor Benedict Cumberbatch’s home was broken into by a burglar. Benedict was at home with his family at the time.

A suspicious person broke into the North London home of Benedict Cumberbatch, known for the MCU film series Doctor Strange and the drama series Sherlock.
According to the Daily Mail, the perpetrator was Jack Vissell, who worked as a chef at the Beaumont Hotel in Mayfair. After breaking through the front door of the home, the offender allegedly pulled out a garden plant and threw it against the wall, then spat on the intercom and tore it off the building.
Furthermore, Benedict, his wife Sophie Hunter and their three children were at home when the perpetrators broke in and were heard shouting “I know you moved in here, I hope (the house) burns down”.
Fortunately, no harm was done to the Cumberbatch family and the police were able to collect the suspect’s DNA from the intercom, which eventually led to his arrest.
The court then found that the crime was premeditated. It was revealed that the perpetrator had also told a shopkeeper at a shop he had stopped at before breaking into Benedict’s house that he was going to break into Benedict’s house and burn him to death, and was fined and given a three-year restraining order against the Cumberbatch family.
