Hailey Bieber called out on her Instagram to people who leave mean comments on Selena Gomez’s social networking sites to stop.
In February of this year, rumors circulated that Hailey and her friend Kylie Jenner had made fun of Selena Gomez, and soon after, Selena declared that she was “taking a little break from social networking. Selena is a longtime boyfriend of Hailey’s husband Justin Bieber, and there have been whispers that she and Hailey do not get along. Hailey and Selena have since made private contact and reconciled, but there is still ongoing conflict between Hailey, Selena, and fans of both on social networking sites, and harassment is rampant, including malicious posts in the comment sections of social networking sites.
Below is the full text of the message that Hailey posted on her Instagram story.
“If you’re leaving mean or rude comments on my behalf on anyone’s posts just know that I don’t want that, nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments. Doing that is not supporting me. If you are participating in that you are part of a culture that I want no part of.
Please be nice or don’t say anything.”
Although Hailey did not mention Selena by name, it is clear from the content of the message that it was issued in response to the many malicious comments on Selena’s social networking sites recently. Incidentally, it is not known whether Hailey and Selena have been in personal contact over this matter.
