Johnny Depp is scheduled to go to trial this July for assaulting a film crew in 2018.

The plaintiff is Gregory Brooks, a location manager who worked on Johnny’s crime drama film City of Roses. Gregory claims that at the time of filming, he and Johnny got into a heated fight when Gregory gave Johnny a message that filming was about to start.

In court documents, Gregory claims that Johnny not only physically assaulted him by nudging him twice in the chest, but also inflicted “emotional distress” through verbal attacks. He also stated that Johnny told him, “I’ll give you $100,000 and you can nudge me (Johnny) in the face.” Gregory claims that he suffered physical pain and emotional injury after this incident.

Johnny claimed that the attack on Gregory was “in self-defense or in defense of others. Johnny’s lawyer stated that Johnny was “provoked” and “made to feel unsafe.

Incidentally, Johnny’s lawyer this time is Camille Vasquez, who became famous for her great performance in the trial with Amber Heard.

Johnny is scheduled to appear at the Stanley Mosque Court in Los Angeles on July 25. At this time, the amount of damages Gregory is seeking is unknown.
