On June 4, Pete was driving his Mercedes car through a residential neighborhood in Beverly Hills, California, when he crashed into a house.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has formally charged him in connection with the incident, TMZ reported.

According to sources, Pete’s car, which was traveling with his new girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, hit a fire hydrant. He lost control of the car and skidded and drove up onto the curb of a residence, but no one was injured and no one was ordered to turn himself in by the police who responded to the scene.

Police reportedly do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, and the owner of the private home told TMZ that his 16-year-old daughter was “a little” traumatized, but that he had no problems with Pete, who was driving, and had no intention of filing a lawsuit.

The accident occurred shortly after Pete and Chase returned to Los Angeles after a vacation in Hawaii. Pete did not change his plans and attended the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards the next night to present a lifetime achievement award to Convoy, the character from “Transformers: Beast Awakening.

If convicted of dangerous driving, Pete could face up to 90 days in jail and a fine of $1,000 (about $142,000).
