Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal’s “The Rise of Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal,” which swept the awards race.

Daisy Edgar Jones and Paul Mescal, both almost newcomers to the scene at the time, played the exquisite relationship between the two men. Both Marian (Daisy), a loner from a wealthy family, and Connell (Paul), a popular sportsman, have serious scenes in which they confront their own mental health issues, requiring extremely sensitive and sincere performances. The film was highly acclaimed, with the Independent saying, “It would be impossible for anyone else to play Marian and Connell” (The Independent), and the film catapulted Edgar Jones to stardom.

Edgar-Jones was nominated for a British Academy Award (BAFTA) and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for this film, and has since played the lead role in “Where the Crayfish Cry” and an important role in the drama “Under the Heaven: The Truth of Faith,” showing that she is flying off the handle. He has also played an important role in the drama “Under the Heaven: The Truth of Faith”.

Mescal was also highly acclaimed for his role as Connell, and was nominated for Best Actor at the Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards, and won a BAFTA for Best Actor. He also starred in “Aftersun,” for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor, and will star in the sequel to Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator,” which will be released next year.

Intimate and realistic sex scenes created with Ita O’Brien

One of the most talked-about aspects of the dramatization of this film was the richness of the sex scenes that appear at key points in the story. Although the film caused a stir in some quarters, with tabloids calling it “the most salacious film in BBC history,” these scenes are essential and inevitable to express the relationship between the two women, and they are carefully crafted to be realistic.

Behind the scenes is the presence of “Intimacy Coordinator” Ita O’Brien. O’Brien has worked on a variety of popular films, including “I May Destroy You” and “Sex Education,” and has worked closely with actors, directors, and crew members to ensure that the scenes are appropriate for each film. He has demonstrated his ability in this film as well, creating a space in which everyone felt at ease, which led to the realization of wonderful scenes.

The film became a social phenomenon by recording the highest number of views in 2020 on the BBC’s distribution service.

It scored 8.4 on IMDb and a threatening 91% critical and 92% public rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also swept the awards race, receiving four Emmy nominations (Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Casting in a Limited Series) and three BAFTA nominations (Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Actress in a Limited Series), with Paul Mescal winning Best Actor.

In addition, BBC iPlayer, the BBC’s distribution service, ranked number one in views for the year with a whopping 62.7 million views in 2020.
