On January 12 this year, Lisa Marie Presley suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California, and her maid found her collapsed.

She was rushed to the hospital and resuscitated before medical staff arrived at the hospital, where her pulse was restored at one point, but she was later pronounced dead. He was 54 years old.

And now the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has released the cause of death for Lisa Marie Presley.

Lisa Marie died from complications due to small bowel obstruction, according to the report. Detailed reports, including toxicology results, have not yet been released.

TMZ previously reported that Lisa Marie had been suffering from stomach problems in the week leading up to her death and that she had just “taken weight loss pills and undergone plastic surgery.

People magazine also revealed that the small bowel obstruction was “caused by adhesions that developed after weight loss surgery” several years ago.

According to the report, Lisa Marie had been suffering from “abdominal pain over the past several months” but had not seen a doctor. She also had severe metabolic acidosis* and, according to the autopsy, she had complained of feeling “feverish, nauseous and vomiting” for months leading up to her death.
