Actress Florence Pugh, 27, revealed that she shaved her head to eliminate vanity.

She made headlines when she appeared on the red carpet at the Met Gala in May with a cropped hairstyle.

She told Radio Times magazine that she shaved all of her hair because she believed that by changing her appearance, she would be able to perform more convincingly on screen.

‘I deliberately chose to look that way,’ she said. Hollywood is a very glamorous place, especially for women. But when I don’t need glamour or full makeup, I always fight to look otherwise. That helps the audience. When the vanity is gone, the only thing the audience sees is the actor’s real face.

Florence also believes that wearing less makeup helps her to play unconventional roles, as she is sometimes distracted by the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Florence believes that lighter makeup helps her to play unconventional roles because she is not as glamorous on screen. And I feel like I’m allowed to look ugly.

I love to stretch out any small role, any vague character. There are some things that I don’t know how I summoned up the courage to do, but it’s like pushing myself off a cliff and hoping the wings would come out.”

In the new film “Oppenheimer,” which opens in the U.S. on July 21, Florence plays Jean Tatlock, a psychiatrist who is considered Oppenheimer’s mistress.
