Actor Michael B. Jordan, 36, says he likes to shoot scenes where he takes his shirt off.
I’m physically in my prime now
Known for his “Creed” series and once named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” Michael describes stripping off on screen as “a plus for my life and career. He wants to take advantage of the fact that he is “physically in his prime.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Michael said, “You’re only at this age once in your life. It’s not every day in your life that you get to play a physical role or take your shirt off. I’m in my prime physically right now. So I’m squeezing it out of me and I’m going to continue to make the most of it. I think my team and I have done a really great job of strategically figuring out when it’s good to be People Magazine’s Sexiest Man and when it’s really cool to lounge around in sweatpants and a T-shirt,” he said.
Michael, on the other hand, does not want to be the type of person who is only known for showing off his body on screen, saying, “Lately, I’ve been really thinking and fantasizing about the future, what kind of roles I want to play and what direction I want to go in. There are moments when I’d rather wear a suit than a tank top. Or wear a shirt over a fitted tank top. Understand?” He confessed.
Michael also delved into his motivation for staying in top shape, revealing that while “lifelong competitiveness” was his initial driving force when he was younger, “I started to realize how everything else, like what I eat and what I put in my body, has a lot to do with my health,” he said, revealing a change in his state of mind.
