Angus Cloud dies; cause of death probably drug overdose
Angus Cloud, who played drug dealer Fezko in the hit drama EUPHORIA, which began airing on HBO in the United States on June 16, 2019 and was watched by about 5.5 million people per episode, has passed away at age 25.
Angus’ family said, “It is most difficult that we had to say goodbye to a wonderful person today. As an artist, friend, brother, and son, Angus was special to all of us. Last week he buried his father and struggled intensely with this loss. Our only solace is that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his struggles with mental health. We hope that his death will serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone and that they should not struggle in silence and alone.”
Angus lost his father in July and was battling serious suicidal thoughts after returning from Ireland, where he buried his father, and was supported by his family by staying at home, but his mother found him collapsed at the family home in Oakland on July 31, local time, and he was pronounced dead on the spot by the police. When her mother called the police, she told them that she may have overdosed on drugs, TMZ reported.
Angus made his impressive acting debut in “EUPHORIA” after being approached on the street by a casting director. Season 3 of “EUPHORIA” is already in production, and Angus was scheduled to appear in it, but the start of filming has been postponed due to a strike in Hollywood, so Angus has had to leave without being able to participate in the filming.
