Keanu Reeves “pissed off” a big-name director, and it’s not too Keanu’s fault.

Director Quentin Tarantino, who was watching Keanu Reeves, suddenly became angry? What in the world happened?

He was looking at Keanu Reeves…, anger?

Actor Keanu Reeves is known as one of the “good guys” in Hollywood, but his presence once irritated a famous director.

Quentin Tarantino, known for films such as “Pulp Fiction” and “Inglorious Basterds,” and who has a devoted fan base, once irritated a famous director when he screened “Kill Bill Vol. 1,” released in 2003, with Keanu and Luc Tarantino, known for films such as “Leon” and “The Fifth Element. Besson was invited to the event. And when he saw Keanu watching the film, he suddenly had this thought.

When I saw Keanu watching [the film], I suddenly had this thought. All my characters are real. There are no computers. I’m sick of that shit. This film is old-fashioned, with an old-fashioned camera. If I wanted to do something as silly as a computer game, I would go home and stick my penis in a Nintendo. I really get a kick out of his themes, and this CGI silliness is a symbol of cinema’s downfall. Cinema is too fucking expensive right now and it’s fucking killing art. The way it’s growing, it’s really going to kill cinema in the next 10 years.”

It was in 2003 that Tarantino told this story in an interview with Britain’s Empire, using a lot of broadcast-prohibited terms. The rise of CGI-based cinema is not entirely Keanu’s fault, but it is a sign that the “Matrix” trilogy has taken the world by storm.

Keanu, who made director Tarantino feel this way, has since appeared in many films that use VFX, such as “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and “Constantine. As is evident from this, Keanu likes films that use VFX and has expressed this sentiment in the past.

Exploring fantasy and science fiction is kind of like, you know, the motifs that happen in these stories are often testing the world that we live in.” For me, it means enthusiasm and support to be part of these stories that have given me an escape from reality while at the same time helping me clarify my perspective and understanding of the world.”

Many directors feel rejected by films that make full use of VFX

On the other hand, Tarantino is not the only director who feels rejected by visual works that make full use of VFX.

Martin Scorsese, known for such films as “Taxi Driver” and “Gangs of New York,” has commented, “I think it’s well done and the actors are doing the best they can under the circumstances, but it’s not the only director who rejects VFX. But to be honest, I guess the closest thing I can think of is a theme park. That is not a movie that tries to convey a human emotional or psychological experience to another human being,” he commented.

Francis Ford Coppola, director of “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse in Hell,” said that “cinema should teach us something, make us acquire something, like enlightenment, knowledge, inspiration,” and that MCU films are not that.

While the two directors’ comments were directed at MCU films and do not denigrate all films that use VFX, they, like Tarantino, have made many films that focus on human drama, and it is hard to imagine that they have very positive feelings about non-MCU science fiction films. It is hard to predict.

It would be arrogant to assume that what they produce is cinema work and art, but such an opinion would also be important, since it is the commitment of the directors, who are so passionate inside that they create stories, that leads to the quality of each film.
