Popular bands Foo Fighters and Alanis Morissette mourned Sinead O’Connor, who died July 26 at the age of 56, at the Fuji Rock Festival on July 29.
Foo Fighters and Alanis Morissette, who headlined the event, gave a special performance dedicated to Sinead.
The band’s frontman, Dave Grohl, said to the audience, “I want everyone to welcome Alanis Morissette, who is singing with us specially today. Tonight we sing this song for a reason,” Alanis continued, “for one beautiful woman who was so far ahead of her time, with great intelligence and empathy, a woman who is no longer with us,” and both performed “Mandinka” from Sinead’s 1987 debut album, The Lion & The Cobra. They performed “Mandinka”.
After the performance of the song, Alanis said, “Sinead, please be at peace.
Sinead was recently found dead in her home in Hearne Hill, south London, where she had just moved, and her family issued this statement. With deep sadness, we inform you that our beloved Sinead has passed from this life. We ask for privacy for our grieving family and friends.
Meanwhile, the London Metropolitan Police announced that. The 56-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, accompanied by officers. Next of kin have already been notified. It was not a suspicious death. Documents will be prepared for the coroner.” Sinead’s last Twitter post was a photo of Shane, which read. He has been living as a shelled out nocturnal creature ever since. He was the love of my life, the light of my soul. He was the only one who loved me unconditionally. Without him, I am wandering in the shade.”
