Sam Asghari has reportedly broken up with Britney Spears.

He claims that in the past, while he was sleeping in bed, Britney assaulted him and gave him bruises around his eyes, TMZ and other news outlets report.

Sam, a former personal trainer, “frequently complained” about his fights with Britney becoming physical during their seven-year relationship, a source told TMZ.

According to the source, Britney and Sam have had a number of fights that required the intervention of security personnel.

However, in this alleged assault that Sam is claiming, there were no security guards around. According to reports, Sam was sleeping in bed when Britney stormed out and began hitting him; TMZ reports that “(Sam) didn’t hit him back, but he was blubbering as his wife hit him.”

The alleged incident is said to have occurred earlier this year, around the time Sam was seen with bite marks on his arms and bruises around his eyes.

According to reports, when a photographer asked him about the noticeable bruises, he tried to cover it up and asked the paparazzi not to photograph him.

A source also told TMZ that Sam was “worried” because Britney was into knives.

The source said that Spears had knives all over the house, including in the bedroom. It said Britney was “wary that someone was after her and needed a knife to protect herself,” adding that Sam was frightened because she was said to “lash out” at the slightest thing.
