Liam Payne (29), a member of the British vocal group One Direction, has cancelled his planned solo tour in South America due to a severe kidney infection.
On August 25, Liam updated his own Instagram to tell the news himself.

In the video, Payne said, “It’s hard, but I have to say that I have no choice but to postpone my upcoming South American tour.” He continued, “For the past week I have been in the hospital with a serious kidney infection. The doctors have told me that I now need to rest and recover,” he confessed.
Liam’s South American tour was scheduled to begin on September 1 in Lima, Peru, and then continue to Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. He also revealed that he is in the process of rescheduling the shows and that all tickets will be refunded.
He added, “We look forward to seeing you all soon. If possible, we hope to put on an even bigger and better show,” he told fans.
One Direction” was immensely popular around the world in the 2010s, but the group took a 16-year hiatus. They are each working as solo artists.
