Bob Barker, popular American host and actor, has died at the age of 99.

 According to TMZ, he died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles on the morning of August 26.

Bob’s representative released a statement saying, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Barker, the greatest MC of all time.

 

Bob, known for hosting the quiz show “The Price is Right” for 35 years from 1972, was injured in a fall at his Hollywood Hills home in 2019 and was treated by paramedics; the year before that, he was hospitalized twice in one month after suffering severe back pain; and in 2017, he was also hospitalized after a fall at his home In 2017, he was taken to the hospital after hitting his head due to a fall at home.

 

Bob was the host of the popular game show Truth or Consequences from 1956 to 1975, the Miss Universe World pageant and Miss USA for 20 years beginning in 1967, and The Price is Right, which he hosted until his retirement in 2007, He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2004, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and had a stage named after him at the CBS Television City studio complex.
