Rapper Post Malone, known for hits such as “Rockstar” and “Psycho,” said in an interview with CR Fashion Book that he plans to keep his fiancée and 16-month-old daughter, who was born last January, out of the spotlight. Post’s fiancée is a civilian, and nothing but her name has been revealed.
Post is not only happy with his current personal life, which is detached from fame, but he wants to keep it that way, saying, “I feel like a lot of people think they have a right to know about all the things in other people’s lives. That’s why I don’t want to post pictures of my baby on the Internet or anything. I don’t think it’s up to me as a parent to decide what her privacy is, but I think it’s something she should decide for herself when she wants to.
Post also questions the internet-centered world we live in these days, saying, “Interestingly enough, we live in a world where everyone has instant access to a single smartphone and we are always half-connected. But living in such a world, I feel that we lose the complexity and nuance that we feel when we actually meet people, spend time with them, and see things happening in the real world,” he said.
Incidentally, he is now enjoying spending time with his fiancée and young daughter, and he seems to be enjoying spending time with his real-life daughter by picking out clothes with her, buying all camouflage print clothes, and betting with his fiancée that she will even become interested in night vision helmets as a result.
