On April 19 (local time), Johnny Depp took the stand at the trial in which he is suing his ex-wife, Amber Heard, for defamation. Johnny himself denied the allegations of domestic violence made against him, and also referred to the “abusive emails” he allegedly sent to friends and acquaintances in the past.

As reported, during the trial, his friend Isaac Baruk admitted that he had received emails from Johnny saying, “I hope [Amber’s] rotting corpse decomposes in the trunk of a Honda Civic,” and “He’s ruining my good life,” and that Johnny had sent him It has been revealed so far that he also sent e-mails to his doctor and another friend in which he cursed Amber.

When questioned in court about the e-mails in question, Johnny said, “I am ashamed of myself about some of the sentences. I am ashamed to say that I lost my temper. The heat from the pain I felt at the time led me to a darker place,” he explained, “When writing, you don’t have to be this way. And sometimes pain has to be dealt with humor. And sometimes very dark humor. I grew up watching “Monty Python,” so yes, it tends to be dark humor. Words tend to be used to emphasize something or to express what you are feeling at the time. So this is a sign of growth. We learn from those mistakes. We learn from them and move on. In doing so, you learn how to use your own language and what is important, what is necessary, and what is not,” he continued.

Johnny also said, “I often express myself in writing, but after Mr. Hurd said inappropriate words to me, it entered my mind and heart, and I looked for the best way to express something to my friend. Sometimes I exaggerate what I did,” he also said.

The trial, which began on April 11 local time, is scheduled to last about a month and a half, and Amber’s lawyers will cross-examine Johnny on April 20, and Amber will also be on the stand in the future.
