Amber Heard Recalls Violent Incident During Stay in Japan

In the trial in which actor Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, for defamation, Amber took the stand again on May 5 (local time), following the previous day, and recounted a number of violent acts she allegedly received from Johnny.

One of the incidents Amber cited was at the Japan premiere of “Charlie Mordecai: The Secret of the Great Masterpiece,” a movie starring Johnny. In January 2015, a few weeks before her wedding, Amber came to Japan with him to attend the premiere event of the movie “Charlie Mordecai: The Secret of the Great Masterpiece” in Japan, and got into an argument with Johnny at the hotel in Tokyo where they were staying.

Amber says that Johnny, who was offended by her comments, attacked her violently. “When I went out into the hallway, he grabbed my arm and slammed me against the hallway wall. I managed to shake his hand off, walked a few steps and went into the closet. Once inside the closet, he grabbed me by my hair,” she said, claiming that shortly after, Johnny hit her in the back of the head and dragged her to the floor. He stated that he was unable to defend himself well because he was attacked unexpectedly while walking and that it was not a fair attack.

She continued, “He was yelling that he hated me, that he didn’t want to marry me, that it was over. He said that my marriage was a mistake and that everyone hated me. I remember sitting on the floor and crying. I felt like my heart was breaking. I wanted to marry him so badly.” Amber also revealed that she was “worried” about bruises and scars on her face, body, and other visible areas when she attended the premiere of “Charlie Mordecai: The Secret of the Great Masterpieces. Amber also revealed that she was “worried” about whether she had any bruises or scars on her face or body.

This is not the first time Amber and Johnny have had a fight before a premiere event; in 2013, when she was in London with her daughter Lily-Rose Depp and son Jack Depp to promote Johnny’s film “The Lone Ranger,” they had a big fight in a hotel room. When they were there, there was an incident in the hotel room where Johnny shouted so loudly, “All I could think about was the kids in the next room. What if they had heard me? I had just met them and I didn’t want them to think badly of me or hate me without knowing what was going on,” Amber testified in court that day.
