A forensic psychologist pointed out Johnny’s pattern of sexual violence against Amber.

Dawn Hughes, a forensic psychologist who has been diagnosing Amber since 2019, said, “Mr. Depp, when he was drunk or high, would throw her on the bed, strip off her clothes, and try to have sex with her. He also forced her to perform oral sex on him when he was angry,” she testified.

It wasn’t when he loved her. It was when I was angry,” he continued.

Mr. Hughes’ testimony was based on his review of 29 hours of clinical interviews with Amber, as well as court records, notes taken by Amber’s previous therapists, interviews with therapists, and other extensive records.

From this evidence, Mr. Hughes seems confident that Amber’s recollection that “the relationship with Johnny was abusive” is accurate.

Mr. Hughes also states that Johnny attempted to control Amber’s life and career. He testified that “even though she yelled at him, hit him, and said horrible things to him, it did nothing to change the balance of power in the relationship,” and that while he understood that Amber fought back against Johnny, the nature of the relationship made Johnny the true perpetrator.

In other testimony, Hughes also stated that Johnny became furious when Amber was considering a role that would require her to do nudity, and that he called “almost every actor I work with,” sabotaged her career, and frequently accused her of infidelity.

The defamation trial continues with shocking testimony. It is likely to continue to attract a lot of attention.
