Harrison Ford talks about his thoughts on playing Indiana Jones
Harrison Ford, who will once again play the titular character Indiana Jones in the latest film in the “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” series, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about parting with the role he has played for almost 40 years.
Harrison, who has played Indiana since the first film in the series, “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” released in 1981, has stated that “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will be his last film as Indiana. What does Harrison think now that he has completed his final adventure?
It goes without saying that Harrison loves the character of Indy, but he assures us that he will not be sad to say goodbye. Harrison explains why.
It doesn’t matter (whether I continue playing Indy or retire). Even if I’m reduced to ashes, the film will still be there for people. The important thing is to make it. The process of making it, that’s what really matters. So we ask ourselves, ‘Are we really going to do this? ‘Do we really need to do this? Is this the right thing to do? And so on.
