On Friday, June 1, a defamation trial ended in a victory for actor Johnny Depp. A Virginia court ruled that Amber Heard’s past editorials were potentially defamatory of Johnny Depp and ordered her to pay $10.35 million in damages.

Amber Heard’s attorney has asked for a mistrial and a new trial, pointing out that the jury was a “double”.

And now, according to documents submitted by Amber’s counsel, there are still doubts about the jurors who attended the trial.

Amber’s counsel has pointed out that the jurors who were selected and the jurors who actually attended the trial may have been different, so-called “doubles.

The selection of the jury was made in April of this year from among Virginia residents. However, according to the submitted documents, at least one of the two persons with “the same last name” and registered at the same address was selected.

One person registered with the same last name and same address was 77 years old and the other was 52 years old. The person selected as a juror in the trial was supposed to be 77 years old. However, Amber’s attorney claimed that “it was the 52-year-old who actually appeared in court.

In a written statement, Amber’s counsel claimed that “Ms. Heard stands to receive basic protections under the Virginia rule that the person selected as a juror in this trial must be present as a juror,” and that “in this case, the person who is juror number 15 is not the person who was originally selected as a juror. Amber’s counsel stated, “In this case, juror number 15 is not the person who was originally selected as a juror. Therefore, proper treatment was not given to Ms. Heard. Under the circumstances, the trial should be declared null and void and the judgment redone,” she added.
